Experience Concerts & Events at Shoreline Amphitheatre – where the coolest and hottest collide in the San Francisco Bay area. Located in Mountain View, this outdoor amphitheatre offers a capacity of 22,000 seats, including lawn seats. It has become famous for festivals, major concerts, comedy shows and other gatherings, including the annual 4th of July celebration, Mayhem Festival, Lollapalooza, Ozzfest, and nearly every hot concert in town.

5.3 Miles | 10 Minutes Drive

Stanford University

The campus of the iconic Stanford University is one of the largest and most beautiful in the country and deserves a visit regardless of the reason for your stay in the area. Spend a day exploring the campus with a walk or drive through the tree-lined residential neighborhoods, or take a walk in the foothills or Baylands. Guided one-hour, student-led walking tours leave every day at 11 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. from the Stanford Visitor Center. Stanford Shopping Center

In addition to the world-renowned Stanford Shopping Center, Palo Alto features a vibrant and popular downtown shopping and restaurant district centered around California Avenue, just south of campus. Both of these districts are local favorites and host popular farmers markets at various times throughout the year, while the nearby Midtown shopping area offers conveniences such as CVS and Walgreens.

Baylands Nature Preserve

Nature enthusiasts will enjoy fifteen miles of multi-use trails for hiking and biking. A unique mixture of tidal and fresh water habitats, the 1,940-acre marshlands remain undisturbed and provide one of the best bird watching areas on the west coast. Byxbee Park and the Lucy Evans Baylands Nature Interpretive Center are both located at the preserve.
